Give a Great Wyoming Teacher a Halloween 'Treat'

October 20, 2003 at 11:37 AM EDT
Wright, WY (Oct. 20, 2003) - With Halloween approaching, there's literally no "trick" to give your teacher a "treat," according to Arch Coal vice president Greg Schaefer.

"All school-aged ghosts, goblins, and super-heroes can nominate real 'heroes' in Wyoming - our best teachers - for Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards," Schaefer said. "We're eager to hear about all the great teachers in the state. Ten will receive $2,500 personal, cash awards in the spring."

Nominations may be made on forms available in Wyoming schools, at Taco John's and Mini Mart locations, and on the Web at www.archcoal.com.

Arch Coal is the nation's second largest coal producer and employs about 650 people in Wyoming. Arch produces more than 65 million tons of clean-burning, low-sulfur coal annually at its Wyoming operations. The company's Black Thunder operation in Campbell County is one of the nation's largest and most efficient coal mines. Arch Coal is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: ACI) and maintains its corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Mo.
