Arch Coal's Chairman and CEO Steven Leer to Appear on CNBC Executive Vision Series Oct. 27

ST. LOUIS, Oct 26, 2009 -- Arch Coal, Inc. (NYSE: ACI) today announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steven F. Leer will appear in a one-hour episode of CNBC's "Executive Vision" series, which airs on Tuesday, Oct. 27 in the United States at 9:00 p.m. EDT, in Europe at 23:00 CET and in Asia at 19:00 SIN/HK.

Leer and other energy leaders join CNBC co-hosts Melissa Francis and Simon Hobbs in a thought-provoking executive strategy session to discuss the most compelling energy issues facing the world and how visionary leaders successfully adapt themselves and their organizations to overcome challenges and create real value.

St. Louis-based Arch Coal is the second largest U.S. coal producer. Through its national network of mines, Arch supplies cleaner-burning, low-sulfur coal to U.S. power producers to fuel roughly 8 percent of the nation's electricity. The company also ships coal to domestic and international steel manufacturers as well as international power producers.
