ST. LOUIS, Nov 24, 2009 -- Arch Coal, Inc. (NYSE: ACI) today announced that its President and Chief Operating Officer, John W. Eaves, will speak at the FBR Capital Markets 2009 Fall Investor Conference in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009.

St. Louis-based Arch Coal is the second largest U.S. coal producer. Through its national network of mines, Arch supplies cleaner-burning, low-sulfur coal to U.S. power producers to fuel roughly 8 percent of the nation's electricity.
