15 Wyoming Teachers Earn 2011 Arch Coal Foundation 'Golden Apples'
WRIGHT, Wyo., April 29, 2011 -- The Arch Coal Foundation has awarded Golden Apple Achiever certificates to 15 Wyoming teachers, according to Greg Schaefer, Arch Coal, Inc. vice president of external affairs, western region.
"Golden Apple recipients rank among the top scorers in the Arch Coal teacher recognition program, second only to recipients of the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award, the Foundation's highest honor," explained Schaefer. "This is an outstanding achievement, and the Foundation sincerely hopes all Golden Apple Achiever Award recipients will again be nominated for the 2012 program."

Recipients of achievement awards were announced April 13. Their names are posted on the Arch Coal Web site: www.archcoal.com.
Longstanding supporters of the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards Program are the Wyoming Department of Education, the Wyoming Education Association, the Wyoming library community, Taco John's and Loaf 'N Jug stores.
The Arch Coal Foundation also supports teacher-recognition and grant programs in West Virginia, Utah and Colorado, as well as a number of other education-related causes.
